The International Federation for Artificial Intelligence (IFAI) is a global non-profit headquartered in the United States, working across continents to make Artificial Intelligence accessible, ethical, and impactful — especially for underrepresented and underserved communities.
The India Chapter of IFAI is a dynamic national movement aiming to transform India's AI landscape by aligning with government priorities, grassroots development needs, and global ethical standards in emerging technologies.
India is one of the world’s largest democracies and a rising technological superpower. However, the benefits of AI are still unevenly distributed. IFAI India works to close this gap — building an ecosystem where AI is used for the people, with the people, and by the people.
We are proud to collaborate with DTHR FORUM (Digital Transformation for Human Rights) — our official AI consultant and implementation partner — in creating scalable, socially responsible AI models across India.

Artificial Intelligence is not just about machines—it is, at its core, about people. At IFAI India, our mission is to harness the transformative power of AI to address the real challenges that millions of Indians face every day—be it unemployment, internal migration, unequal access to education, or overburdened healthcare systems.

We are not here to replicate the high-tech models of the West. We are here to build India’s own model—one that is inclusive, sustainable, and deeply localised. We believe in AI that speaks every Indian language, understands every Indian village, and uplifts every community.

Through the strategic leadership of DTHR FORUM, our AI consultancy arm, and in close coordination with central and state governments, NGOs, academia, and industry, we are establishing:

AI Innovation Parks to drive research and entrepreneurship,

AI Seva Kendras to deliver AI-powered citizen services,

Digital Skill Hubs to equip youth and women with 21st-century AI skills.

This is not an elite technology initiative for a privileged few. This is India’s grassroots AI movement, built for the people and by the people.
